Job description
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services, with expertise in budgeting and variance analysis. As a senior expense management specialist, you will be responsible for preparing monthly spending reports for senior management and budget leaders.
You will also consolidate analysis of variance explanations, validate or clarify with budget leaders as needed, and prepare board materials with relevant analysis of total company spending. Additionally, you will lead annual lunch and learn budget training for budget tool (TM1) for budget leaders and their assistants.
Key responsibilities include supporting budget leaders and their assistants in completing salary models and budget inputs, preparing analysis and reporting of budgets for senior management, and providing operational accounting support for expense-related items.
Requirements :
- University degree in business or accounting
- Designated CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation recognized in Canada
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in budgeting and variance analysis
- Leadership and staff management experience is required
