As our next Engineering Co-op youll report to to the Product and Process Engineering Supervisor. The Engineering Intern leads the analysis and reporting of important product characteristics on various product lines.

What Youll Be Doing :

Actively participates in the development and implementation of processes part development and equipment selection / installation

Contributes towards meeting the goals of producing quality parts on-time and at the lowest possible cost

Develops and documents the manufacture of prototype and production components

Conducts appropriate analysis work to extract meaning from experimentally created datasets and makes applicable recommendations regarding findings.

Communicates with Production Quality and other Departments on a regular basis to keep them well informed of the progress in technological advances made within the scope of this position

Provides assistance in the recommendation of modifications to tooling plant equipment and development of prototypes to permit efficient manufacturing; or to meet performance specifications and serviceability requirements

Acts as a technical resource and provides support to the people processes products and equipment employed within the area to which you may be assigned on a day-to-day basis

Supports and participates in team meetings to review and resolve Quality Service Operations Facilities Human Resources and Health & Safety issues where required

Participates in continuous improvement initiatives

Adheres to Johnson Electrics policies and procedures

Other duties as assigned

What Were Looking For :

Qualifications :

Third or Fourth Year Engineering student within a Mechanical / Materials / Metallurgical discipline or equivalent

Technical & Skill Requirements :

Must possess strong analytical skills acute attention to detail good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people.

Must have a high level of motivation initiative and interest in personal achievement.

Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally at all levels of the organization.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT (including Physical Demands) :

Primarily office environment with equal time spent in manufacturing facilities
