The challenges that await you

Reporting to the revenue division head, you will participate in the planning and control of the team's activities, develop, recommend, and implement measures to optimize the division's performance. You will participate in assessing the human, material, and financial resource needs required for the smooth operation of the division. You will determine the standards, methods, and work processes, and ensure their compliance by controlling their application.

You will participate in managing a unionized work team (10 employees) dedicated to revenue billing, including internal audit activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

You will be called to work in a changing environment and will be an important player within a multidisciplinary management team. Additionally, through your expertise, you will be called to represent the division to internal and external stakeholders and collaborate in the development and maintenance of your team's computerized management systems.

More specifically:

  • You participate in the development and orientation of billing standards and ensure their maintenance;
  • You implement performance indicators related to strategic orientations;
  • You coordinate the activities of property billing and goods and services with all partner services.
The ideal profile for us
    • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting sciences and a graduate diploma in specialized studies in public accounting (DESS);
    • Have eight (8) years of relevant experience in the role as well as four (4) years of experience in personnel management;
    • Knowledge of taxation systems (municipal taxation), the Cities and Towns Act, the Municipal Taxation Act, and the Act concerning transfer duties on real estate is desirable;
    • Being a member in good standing of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA) is desirable;
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
