We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper in our Barrie office to manage our daily financial records and ensure compliance with full-cycle accounting standards.

Working closely with our Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Records and categorizes all financial transactions using QuickBooks Online accounting software.
  • Performs monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manages AP and AR functions, including inputting and administering vendor bills and customer invoices.
  • Prepares essential financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements (P&L), and cash flow statements.
  • Enters and processes various provincial and federal government remittances.
  • Maintains an organized digital record system.
  • Assists in preparing documents for year-end audits or tax filings.
  • Assists with additional bookkeeping tasks, administrative functions, and special projects, as assigned.

  • A dedicated problem-solver with a strong degree of analytical skills.
  • Professional integrity and reliability, particularly while maintaining confidential information on all company and client-related matters.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2–5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted full-cycle accounting principles and practices.
  • Advanced proficiency using QuickBooks Online.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration is considered an asset.
