About Our Client

Our client is sourcing a Controller for a 6-month contract.

About the Opportunity

External Financial Reporting :

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of periodic external financial reports

Coordinate reporting inputs across multiple internal teams

Oversee consolidated financial statements and narrative disclosures

Partner with executive leadership to ensure consistent, transparent communication of financial results Technical Accounting & Policy :

Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess organizational impact

Develop technical analyses and internal accounting guidance

Advise stakeholders on non-routine or complex accounting matters

Engage external advisors as needed on accounting interpretations Business Change & Growth Support :

Design accounting and reporting approaches to support new initiatives or organizational changes

Improve reporting efficiency while maintaining strong governance and controls

Support transaction-related accounting and disclosure considerations Audit & External Liaison :

Manage audit planning, execution, and issue resolution

Ensure audit readiness through strong documentation and coordination

Maintain effective working relationships with external auditors

About You

Qualifications & Background :

Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)

Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field

Advanced knowledge of international accounting standards and complex judgment-based accounting matters

Exposure to cross-border reporting frameworks or public market disclosure requirements is beneficial Experience Profile :

Extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting leadership within a regulated or capital-intensive environment

Demonstrated ownership of quarterly and annual external reporting cycles

Proven ability to manage external audits and act as the primary point of contact with audit firms

Background supporting organizational growth, structural change, or transaction-related accounting is an asset

Experience within industries involving large-scale assets or operations is preferred Core Capabilities :

Strong technical accounting and financial disclosure expertise

Hands-on ability to analyze and validate financial data within enterprise financial systems

Solid understanding of end-to-end financial processes, including consolidation and intercompany reporting

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight reporting deadlines

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting matters into clear disclosures

Collaborative leadership style with experience guiding and developing team members
