Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Programmer/Software Developer with Secret clearance to design and implement complex computer systems to solve business, scientific, and technical problems. Responsibilities include developing system plans, analyzing requirements, selecting and integrating software, and creating detailed programming documentation such as flowcharts and coded instructions. The role also involves testing, debugging, and ensuring program accuracy through acceptance testing, while maintaining thorough documentation for future reference or updates. Strong collaboration with technical teams is essential throughout the development lifecycle

This is a 1 year contract opportunity, all work expected to be completed remotely. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed solution designs from high-level and detailed requirements, including flow charts, process diagrams, and workflow's
  • Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform components to align with technical designs and application/network architecture
  • Revise configuration files to correct deviations from requirements or design specifications
  • Prepare and test sample data to validate the accuracy and completeness of the solution through system acceptance testing
  • Document the solution with specifications, diagrams, layouts, programming, and operating instructions for future reference or updates.
  • Develop a comprehensive Support Plan outlining tasks and proposed service levels for each support tier
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues and incidents related to the solution
  • Collaborate with IT Security teams on vulnerability, threat, and risk assessments
Qualifications and Skills
  • Holds a secret security clearance
  • A minimum of 10 years experience as Level 3 Programmer/ Software Developer
  • A degree or diploma in an IT-related field from a recognized post-secondary institution, with a proof of completion (Canadian or equivalent); OR at least 15 years experience working as a software developer/ programmer
  • Must have worked on at least one project within the last 5 years, for at least 1 year, using Microsoft Dynamics 365 with Microsoft Power Platform
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience using North52 rules engine in Dynamics 365/ Power Apps
  • Certifications (Dynamics 365/ Power Platform)
  • Experience working as a Programmer using Microsoft Dynamics 365 with Microsoft Power Platform with a citied Federal/ Provincial/ Municipal government client
  • Experience integrating multiple systems using industry standards
