Job Title: Controls Programmer & Commissioning SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Controls Programmer & Commissioning Specialist to develop, configure, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for oil & gas facilities. This role emphasizes programming Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley platforms and configuring HMI/SCADA systems, with exposure to Schneider/Modicon environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Program Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley platforms (ControlLogix/CompactLogix).
- Configure FactoryTalk View or AVEVA Wonderware HMI/SCADA systems.
- Translate control narratives into structured PLC logic.
- Build HMI screens and configure alarms.
- Validate system functionality during FAT/SAT and on-site commissioning rotations.
- Troubleshoot I/O, device communication, interlocks, and startup issues.
- Perform loop tuning and verify system performance.
- Implement changes through proper version control and documentation practices.
- Work closely with field technicians and design engineers.
- Commit to regular travel for commissioning support.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens).
- 5+ years of PLC/HMI programming and site commissioning experience in oil & gas.
- Strong Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley programming skills (ControlLogix/CompactLogix, FactoryTalk View/SE).
- Ability to translate control narratives into structured logic and HMI graphics.
- Experience with I/O checkout/validation and documentation updates.
- SCADA/HMI configuration skills (., AVEVA Wonderware).
- Familiarity with industrial networks/protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus).
- Strong documentation and version control discipline.
- Willingness to travel/site rotations for commissioning.
- Demonstrated start‑to‑finish project delivery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Schneider Modicon (Unity/EcoStruxure).
- Exposure to alarm rationalization and standards (ISA‑18.2/IEC).
- . or CET with a deep commissioning background.
Work EnvironmentThe role requires commitment to commissioning work at site, which may range from a few days to a few months on larger projects. The work environment involves close collaboration with field technicians and design engineers, focusing on full lifecycle implementation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
