WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Role:

As an FA Technician, you'll be the detective for our products. You'll run tests to figure out why things break, help us track and fix those issues, and keep our lab organized. You'll also work with our engineers to solve bigger problems and share what you find with others. Your main goal is to help us make sure nothing comes back due to quality problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Failure Analysis, including functional testing
  • Non-Conformance Reporting and Management
  • 5S Laboratory Housekeeping
  • Support the Quality Engineers with Structured Problem Solving
  • Reporting to Internal and External Customers
  • Supporting the RMA process by providing Failure Analysis details and re-work details
  • Additional support to the Quality Manager

Basic Qualifications:

  • Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology or in a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Experience in a quality-related function (Failure Analysis, Structured Problem Solving)
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including CNC machining, injection molding, extruding, welding, additive manufacturing, surface treatment, etc.
  • ASQ-certified CQT, or CQE

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of mechanical & electro-mechanical components and systems
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and disassembly and competent with hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hand drill etc.)
  • Analyzing CAD drawings and product functional & regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work individually, and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent English language communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Willingness to travel up 10% of the time
