Overview
We are looking for a Manual Lathe Shop Machinist to join our growing team in the Brampton, Ontario area.
This will be a full time on-site role in the busy shop working Monday to Friday day shift. Compensation ranges from $35 to $45 per hour based on experience and will include a benefits package after the probationary period.
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge and experience working and using manual machines (not CNC), extensive experience with manual lathes, be responsible for machine maintenance, use/calibration and maintenance of QC tools as well as machining to drawing specifications. This person will be organized and keep a clean and tidy work area as well as be very safety minded.

Monday to Friday day shift.

Requirements
-Minimum 5 years experience working as a manual machinist
-Experience working with manual lathes specifically preferred
-Must be able to read and interpret production drawings for machining
-Experience working onsite in a machine shop environment
-Physically capable to be on your feet for long periods of time
-Punctuality and promptness
-Good communication skills (written and verbal)
-Legally entitled to work in Canada
