Job Title: Band Saw Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of saws and cutting equipment to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibility

• Operate and maintain saws and cutting equipment, ensuring safety protocols are always followed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.
• Set up and adjust Bandsaws for precise operations.
• Assist in the assembly of components post-cutting as required.

Academic/Educational Requirements

• Minimum grade 12 or equivalent, proven experience in machining or a related field is preferred

Required Skills/Experience

• Is experienced with specialty steel, specifically honed tube and chrome shafting.
• Familiarity with CNC Bandsaws programming is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Ability to operate cranes safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
