My goal is to connect with a capable employee who has availability Tuesdays 11-4 along with option for additional on call shifts during the week when needed. Duties: The ideal employee would have previous experience with neurodiverse individuals, however we do have successful protocols in place so just a willingness to learn and have respect our son is key:) Must have drivers licence. We supply a vehicle during all work shifts $28/hr Wage- negotiable based on related experience A few words from 2 support workers who have worked with my son for over 2 years …. ‘Working with B has been an adventure in the best sense of the word. Supporting him one-on-one has been deeply fulfilling, not only because of the difference I’ve been able to make in his daily life, but because of the joy he naturally brings into each moment. For instance, what seems like a walk on Dallas Road to the untrained eye is really a high stakes secret mission to rescue pets of the world from evil villains. His enthusiasm is infectious, and every day with him feels meaningful, engaging, and full of small, unexpected adventures.‘ Working with and supporting BG has been a very positive experience. He is incredibly sweet, smart, and enjoys playing card games, which has been a great way to build connection and engagement. We often go for short walks and have lunch together, which he really enjoys and which help support his routine. While BG does experience anxiety, with the right techniques and a calm, consistent approach, he is easy to support through these moments.
