Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role is a full-time shipper/receiver position in a busy manufacturing warehouse that produces industrial wheels for mining vehicles. You will operate forklifts and material handling equipment, manage shipping and receiving activities, support production with accurate staging of materials, and maintain clear, safe, and organized warehouse operations within the Langley facility.
Responsibilities
- Pick, package, and stage parts for inventory storage, onsite manufacturing, intercompany branch transfers, and export shipments.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move heavy steel components safely and efficiently.
- Use proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment to manage loads over 50 lbs while minimizing risk of injury and product damage.
- Ensure materials are handled, staged, and stored in a way that protects product integrity, prevents damage, and maintains clear labeling and organized placement.
- Ensure all materials are properly secured and handled safely during loading and unloading activities.
- Perform receiving duties by verifying materials against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and processing documentation accurately.
- Update system records to reflect inventory transactions, receipts, and shipments in a timely and accurate manner.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
- At least 2+ years of experience operating a sit-down counterbalance (SDCB) forklift.
- Hands-on experience working in an industrial shop setting, preferably with heavy steel or metal products.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to work confidently in ERP systems and warehouse management workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management, including inventory transactions, cycle counts, and inventory control.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, to support clear documentation and effective teamwork.
- Ability to safely lift and handle loads over 50 lbs using proper techniques and material handling equipment.
Work Environment
Working at state of the art, brand new manufacturing facility in Langley. You will work in the warehouse are of the shop with 8 other people.
Shift:
7:30am - 4:00pm
Pay: $26/hr
