About the Position :
We are seeking applications from detail-oriented and results-driven leaders passionate about financial stewardship, compliance and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Assistant Secretary Treasurer, the Accounting Manager will play a vital role in day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This position oversees a dedicated team, builds strong relationships with internal and external partners, and helps ensure that financial processes align with the District's strategic vision.
Core Responsibilities :
- Lead Accounting Operations : Supervise AP, AR, and cash management, ensuring timely reconciliations and account management.
- Maintain Financial Systems : Oversee the general ledger and relevant ERP modules, recommending improvements for efficiency and control.
- Ensure Compliance : Implement accounting standards, CRA regulations, and District policies; manage annual SOFI, audits, and statutory reporting.
- Reporting & Analysis : Oversee monthly and annual closes, prepare financial statements, and provide analysis to support decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Coordinate with school and department leaders, delivering clear financial guidance and support.
- Team Leadership : Hire, train, and develop accounting staff, promoting continuous learning and high
performance.
Salary Range : $96,420 to $120,526. Total rewards package includes competitive salary, benefits, pension and professional development opportunities.
