Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday; 4:00 pm- 2:00 am (38 hrs per week)

Work Arrangement: On Site

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.50. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors.

Join Our Team as a Material Handler - Afternoon Shift (Summer Student)!

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting daily operations by picking and packing items, handling materials, and moving products with basic equipment. They keep the workspace organized and assist with additional tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick and pack items into stock locations
  • Move material using pump trucks and other devices
  • Responsible for material handling and ensuring that we have the necessary parts and materials according to our work orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow organizational practices
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

  • Is currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution (diploma or degree)
  • Has strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Is detail oriented
  • Has good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs

Physical Effort:

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Work Environment:

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
