Your mandate

Join Norda Stelo’s dynamic team as a Project Manager and plunge into the heart of a highly stimulating professional adventure. As a leader in the field, Norda Stelo offers you an exceptional opportunity to direct large-scale environmental projects, contributing your expertise as part of the passionate multidisciplinary team.

As Environmental Project Manager, you will be the orchestra conductor of environmental initiatives in varied sectors, such as transportation (road, rail), mines and metals, port facilities and energy. Your missions will be diverse and stimulating, ranging from the strategic platform to coordination of leading teams. You will have the opportunity to conduct impact assessments as well as projects for implementation of eco-responsible solutions, such as construction of roads and civil engineering structures, climate change, renewable energy, restoration of mine sites, and much more.

Your challenges

  • Strategic planning: Develop innovative strategies for the development of large-scale environmental projects;
  • Team coordination: direct and inspire multidisciplinary teams, favouring collaboration and innovation;
  • Resource management: Optimize the use of available resources to ensure the projects’ success;
  • Project management: Guarantee the fluid progress of initiatives, by maintaining a balance between quality and deadlines;
  • Coaching and development of professionals: Contribute your expertise to the team’s young professionals, foster their professional development and encourage their growth within the company;
  • Environmental project management: Design, coordinate and supervise the performance of environmental projects in transportation and in the mining and energy fields, evaluate the performance of mitigation measures and propose recommendations;
  • Environmental sustainability: Promote sustainable practices and environmentally respectful solutions to minimize negative impact and favour positive results;
  • Regulatory compliance: Plan and supervise the preparation of environmental authorization applications;
  • Environmental risk management: Identify, assess and mitigate the potential environmental risks/issues at different steps of the projects;
  • Client relationship proposal and management: Contribute to the development of proposals by involving various aspects, such as strategy and operational planning, and ensure the relationship with the client for project budget and deadline management;
  • Communication and reports: Prepare detailed report, impact assessments and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.


Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, geography, engineering or any other relevant discipline in environment and project management;
  • Master’s degree in environmental science, biology, engineering of any other relevant education or experience (an advantage);
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, including 5 years’ experience as an environmental project manager;
  • Marine environment and mining experience will be considered an advantage;
  • Excellent knowledge of environmental laws and regulations;
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and multidisciplinary project management skills;
  • Excellent leadership skills;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take on complex challenges;
  • Excellent aptitudes for writing and analysis and ability to synthesize;
  • Be structured in management of time and priorities;
  • Proficiency in oral and written English. French will be considered as an asset.
