MatchBox Consulting Group is partnering with an established national builder to hire an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex institutional, commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise projects across British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall delivery of commercial, institutional, mixed-use, and high-rise construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, owners, and internal project teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Participate in subcontract procurement, contract administration, and scope reviews.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasting, billings, and financial reporting.
• Support project safety initiatives alongside site leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
• Assist in tracking project progress while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Senior Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager role.
• Experience working for a general contractor is required.
• Experience delivering ICI construction projects valued at $10M-$20M+.
• Background in commercial, institutional, mixed-use, or high-rise construction.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, project administration, and financial controls.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Construction-related education is considered an asset.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project; Viewpoint experience is an asset.
