As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of Broadcast Professionals.
What You’ll Do
You’ll act with integrity to :
- Pitch original and compelling story ideas, conduct research, write, voice, and produce news style stories for television, web, and social media platforms in order to promote and educate the public about the Legislative Assembly of Ontario and the legislative process.
- Present on-camera content.
- Demonstrate the utmost tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality in a politically sensitive environment.
- You’ll support our collaboration as you :
- Work in a fast-paced, demanding, and team-orientated environment, while developing engaging video content to entertain and inform.
- Support production staff with pre-production, shooting, editing and / or conducting interviews when the House is in session and complete video production when the House recesses.
- Work alongside a Camera Operator / Editor to produce non-partisan content that focuses on the Legislative Assembly, what is happening at the Assembly and how the parliamentary process works.
