Job Title: Wiring AssemblerJob Description

The Wiring Assembler will join a dynamic team responsible for assembling industrial control panels for data centers and oil and gas units. Using electrical schematics, the assembler will install electrical components, crimp wires, wire units, and test panels. The role requires the use of hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices to complete the tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial control panels using electrical schematics.
• Install and wire electrical components, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Crimp wires and test panels for functionality.
• Use hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices to complete assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Layout panels and mount devices as per specifications.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in wiring assembly, focusing on custom builds.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read a tape measure in both standard and metric.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools effectively.
• Experience in electrical circuits and assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with switchgear, breaker assembly, and panel layout.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for computer documentation.
• Experience with fabrication and production assembly.
• Forklift, overhead crane, and picker truck experience is an asset.

Work Environment

The position is based in the main shop of a new building. The shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch. Overtime is available after 40 hours per week. Personal protective equipment required includes CSA-approved boots, safety glasses, and gloves.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
