Job Summary :
The Ontario Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term Care (CLRI) strengthen quality of care and living for residents across the province.
The purpose of the Ontario CLRI is to enhance the quality of seniors’ care in long-term care homes through education, research, innovation, evidence-based service delivery and design, and knowledge transfer.
The Ontario CLRI is funded by the Ministry of Long-Term Care, and hosted at Baycrest Academy for Research and Education, Bruyère, and the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging.
Reporting to the Manager, Projects & Evaluation, the Project Assistant will support the educational and administrative activities of the Preceptor Resource and Education Program in Long-Term Care (PREP LTC) project at the Ontario Centres for Learning, Research & Innovation (Ontario CLRI) at Baycrest.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assisting with educational program and product content development, updates, uploads
- Supporting workshop facilitation and logistics (e.g., distributing materials to attendees, co-facilitating sessions, taking notes, supporting evaluation, etc.)
- Providing customer service / helpdesk ticket support and ensures high-quality customer service for users of our educational products and initiatives
Providing beta-testing support of our educational platforms and modules, proactively identifying potential issues and suggesting fixes where applicable
- Supporting the development of recruitment, onboarding, and implementation materials and knowledge products
- Attending communities of practice or events to support stakeholders, learners, and / or team members
Completing project administration- and logistics-related tasks, as delegated (e.g., meeting minutes)
- Working with team members to suggest, implement, and maintain digital filing systems
- Assisting with data collection, data entry, data cleaning, analysis, data backups, and reporting (qualitative and quantitative data), as needed
- Collaborating with key partners and internal and external stakeholders to achieve project aims
- Other tasks related to this project or the Centre’s activities may also be allocated based on need and the successful incumbent’s interest / availability
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Education, eLearning, Computer Technology, or other related field) is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Interest in innovative approaches to healthcare education
- Familiarity with eLearning software (e.g., Articulate RISE)
- Comfort and experience learning new technology
- A desire to provide high-quality customer service experiences for end users
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Willingness to learn and take initiative as appropriate
- Ability to navigate multiple competing priorities and takes initiative to ask for support and guidance as needed
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Familiarity with data collection and analysis methods (quantitative and / or qualitative)
- Detail-oriented, with analytical problem-solving ability
- Ability to prioritize / manage competing deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Proficient in use of educational and communication technologies including teleconferencing, learning and eLearning platforms, and project management software
- An interest in learning about education, project management, and / or evaluation is an asset
- Experience with survey tools / polling software is an asset
- Experience supporting report development is an asset
- Knowledge of long-term care and older adults is an asset
