About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Bayer's Lake Community Outpatient Centre (BLCOC) Health Services Manager and the Medical Director for the INSPIRED COPD Outreach Program, the Clinical Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning and implementing the expansion of COPD Care and Education.
This includes communications, training, research, and evaluation. The coordinator will be expected to plan team meetings, both locally and provincially, lead in the collection and processing of research and quality assurance data and lead the development of grant and other funding opportunities to facilitate the expansion of services across the province.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following :
- Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy and registered with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists required
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care Exams required
- A minimum of four years’ experience in Respiratory Therapy is required
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with the INSPIRED COPD Outreach Program preferred
- Master's Degree (Health Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or similar is considered an asset)
- Proof of completion of an approved COPD Educators program or equivalent preferred; if not completed, after hiring, completion of an approved program is required (funding available)
- Experience working with patients and families with chronic disease, leading teams, giving presentations, program development, program coordination, project management, managing teams, quality improvement, qualitative and quantitative mixed-methods research, and patient and family engagement
- Experience working with patients in the community in patients’ homes, with COPD, and spirometry testing
- Project management / change management certification an asset
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
- This is a hybrid position working from home & at the BLCOC office
Compensation and Benefits
$33.97 - $42.89 Hourly
