Land Acknowledgement
The Lifemark Health Group team acknowledges that our work spans many Territories and Treaty areas, and we are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are with us today, those who have gone before us and the youth that inspire us. We recognize the land and the benefits it provides all of us and we invite everyone to reflect on the past and present history in their geographic area and for us each to think about what we can do to work towards reconciliation.
The City of Toronto, where Lifemark Head Office is located, is on the traditional territory of many Indigenous nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples—nations who called this land home long before the arrival of settlers and who still call it home. By offering this land acknowledgement, we remind ourselves that we live in a land of great diversity and that we are all accountable for our relationships with all who live here.
