About the role
We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Analyst for our Actuarial Specialty Lines team. The Senior Technical Analyst will play a technical support role in the various projects of the Actuarial Specialty Lines.
Main responsibilities
Run recurrent reports to provide data to team members and operational teams.
Create, develop, modify and produce reports in Excel tools through a very good knowledge of SAS, SQL and VBA programming languages.
Be responsible for the maintenance of some Access tools developed in the team through SQL queries and provide support to users.
Extract data from different tables and databases in order to validate or reconcile information and follow up on corrections as needed.
Share your systems knowledge with the rest of the team and provide technical training as needed.
Assist team members with other mandates or projects at their request.
Profile
Highly developed analytical skills facilitating problem solving
Can manage multiple initiatives at the same time; works well under pressure
Experience in system implementations
Desirable competencies : adaptability, planning and organizing, initiating action, quality orientation, teamwork
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in effectively working and collaborating with several teams within and outside actuarial across multiple sites
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word)
Experience with programming (SAS, VBA, SQL among others) and data extraction
Knowledge of the insurance industry (asset)
