GardaWorld's Toronto branch is currently hiring a Human Resources Manager for our Security Services business line. The Human Resources Manager will work with internal management team to provide day-to-day support, as well as be a key player in the development and execution of HR policies.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the human resources department.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Provide strategic guidance and training to managers on best practices for addressing employees including handling disciplinary actions, terminations, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution.
  • Bridge management and employee relations for unionized and non-unionized employees by addressing grievances, arbitrations or other issues.
  • Provide coaching, development, support, and direction to the human resources team.
  • Develop strong partnerships with all levels of internal and external business associates.
  • Perform related duties in support of the day-to-day work.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience driving results in the labour relations and / or human resources field.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a team.
  • A strong understanding of labour relations, policies and procedures, employment legislation (work experience with Federal and Provincial legislations is ideal), and collective agreements is also required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing HR initiatives that drive organizational success.
