OPPORTUNITY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the Director, Talent Acquisition and play a crucial role in supporting the hiring process from beginning to end. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers across Fengate to manage full cycle recruitment for junior level roles, ensuring top-notch service and delivering exceptional results to the business. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will need to be able to travel to both the Toronto and Oakville office.
The Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates, as well as coordinating interviews and managing offers. They will foster a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers, contributing to the overall success of the firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute on the recruitment process including postings, sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews and tracking.
- Create, review, and enhance job descriptions for open roles, ensuring they follow the proper format and template.
- Leverage relevant recruitment channels such as LinkedIn, Indeed, community associations / networks and referrals to source active and passive candidates; recruiting both actives roles and building talent pipelines.
- Support the internship program for handling co-op hiring with local university / colleges ensuring constant engagement with schools and exploring other universities to attract new grads.
- Utilize analytical skills to track and report on key recruitment metrics – ensuring effective, efficient, and unbiased hiring.
- Efficiently handle reference checks through a third-party provider, verifying candidate credentials to provide timely feedback to the hiring team.
- Taking part in exciting projects as needed and related to Talent Acquisition.
