Millar Western’s Slave Lake Pulp Division is looking for a highly motivated Process Operator to join our Production team. Beginning in the pulp warehouse, this individual will have the opportunity to advance into various operational areas, including production lines, the Bio Energy plant, water treatment, boilers, and the control room. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential, as this role plays a key part in enhancing both facility operations and our safety program. This is a shift-based position, requiring rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will hold a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (or be actively working toward one), have completed Grade 12, and be a minimum of 18 years of age. Previous experience in an industrial environment is considered an asset. This position involves working 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. A willingness to learn and continuously develop skills is essential.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, the ability to make appropriate decisions in routine work situations, and dependable attendance. The successful candidate will be able to follow direction, work independently when required, communicate clearly, and maintain a positive and professional attitude while contributing effectively as part of a team.
