Job descriptionDesign and develop applications that are robust, scalable and maintainable Develop and maintain both client-side and server-side components using modern technologies Ensure seamless integration between the front-end and back-end components Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices and CBN coding standards Use version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers Document code and create technical documentation to ensure maintainability troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the stack Identify and resolve issues in both the front-end and back-end of the application Use debugging tools and techniques to diagnose and fix problems Conduct performance testing and profiling to identify and resolve bottlenecks Ensure the application is highly available and can recover quickly from failures Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and provide technical solutions Conduct code reviews and review code written by other developers to ensure it meets quality standards Provide constructive feedback and suggest improvements to enhance code qualityFoster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team Continuously learn about new technologies and industry trends Evaluate and incorporate new tools and technologies that can improve the development process Stay informed about best practices and emerging standards in web development Various Other Duties and Responsibilities Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or similar field) or equivalent combination of education and years of relevant work experience Knowledge of the following : Object oriented programming principles Automated testing 3+ years of software development experience Languages : Java Frameworks : Angular Containerization : Docker Tools : ADO Critical thinking skills Analysis, problem-solving Creative thinking skills Interpersonal skills Communication, teamwork and collaboration Growth mindset Self-directed Fluency in English Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis Ability to travel domestically and / or internationally approx. 5 weeks / year Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) personal security clearance.
