Job description
Our client, is seeking an experienced, high-caliber Product Manager to spearhead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for their next-generation developer tooling ecosystems.

In this senior platform leadership role, you will oversee a portfolio that spans enterprise GitLab infrastructure, Terraform Cloud, software supply chain security (SSCS), DevOps transformation models, and cutting-edge, AI-enabled Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) capabilities. The Secure Delivery Platforms team leads the strategy, engineering, and governance of automated capabilities that enable engineering squads to move from idea to production securely, efficiently, and at scale. Your mission is to embed compliance, velocity, and platform standards directly into developer workflows while continuously refining the developer experience (DevEx).

Desired Start Date: July 6, 2026

Contract Length: 6-Month Contract (Possibility of extension is highly likely)

Location: Hybrid Vancouver (4 days per week on-site at the Vancouver, BC corporate headquarters)

Advantages
High-Visibility Platform Ownership: Act as the central product authority defining the multi-year roadmap for an enterprise-scale engineering ecosystem.

Next-Generation Tech Architecture: Drive strategic investments in modern software supply chain security, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and AI-assisted coding automation.

Strategic Business Impact: Define and track core operational performance metrics (DORA metrics, platform adoption rates, cloud cost optimization, and compliance posture) that directly influence corporate velocity.

Collaborative Innersourcing Culture: Establish collaborative, internal engineering roundtables and customer feedback loops to pioneer an innovative innersourcing framework across the global brand.

Responsibilities
Vision & Roadmap Architecture: Define, articulate, and own the overarching product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the Secure Delivery Platforms ecosystem, translating enterprise goals into actionable technical backlogs.

Platform Adopton & Transformation: Drive the organizational adoption of GitLab enterprise features, automated Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and AI-enabled SDLC tooling across matrixed software development squads.

Backlog Prioritization & Trade-off Governance: Manage the global platform backlog, balancing and prioritizing investments based on business impact, risk posture, platform maturity, and the delicate balance between delivery speed, cost, and developer experience.

Standardization & Golden Paths: Drive enterprise developer consistency and governance by engineering automated software templates, compliance guardrails, and optimized "golden paths" to production.

Executive & Stakeholder Alignment: Partner closely with Principal Engineers, Cyber Security Architects, Product Leadership, and business lines. Lead executive alignment forums, communicate platform health, and facilitate complex, technical decision-making sessions.

Self-Service Scalability: Build out scalable, automated onboarding documentation and self-service platform tools to reduce operational friction for incoming engineering resources.

Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience operating in a dedicated Product Management capacity, with a strong preference for candidates focused on Platform Engineering, DevOps ecosystems, or developer tooling.

Technical Domain Depth: Deep, referenceable understanding of GitLab ecosystems, automated CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC / Terraform Cloud), and modern cloud-native SDLC architectures.

Security & Governance Literacy: Strong functional knowledge of software supply chain security frameworks, code compliance automation, and enterprise governance practices.

Metrics-Driven Mindset: Proven experience utilizing data framework models (DORA metrics, service reliability analytics, platform telemetry) to map technical capabilities directly to corporate business value.

Soft Skills & Executive Polish: Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to independently influence multi-layered engineering squads and senior executive leadership teams.

Summary
If you are a seasoned Platform Product Manager who combines deep DevSecOps technical savvy with an executive presence and a passion for optimizing the developer experience, this 6-month Vancouver contract offers a phenomenal stage for your skills. Bring your GitLab mastery, IaC governance background, and strategic vision to an industry-leading technology team today!
