Privately owned General Contractor based in New Westminster is currently recruiting for a Project Manager (or SPM). The organization undertakes a variety ofmercial and light industrial projects ranging from new-build office buildings and grocery stores to warehouses and tenant improvements. Projects range in size from $1-$20m. The owners of thepany take pride in having an honest andmunicative style.
Due to the nature of the projects the organization undertakes, they remain busy despite the turbulent market many are facing at present.
Your new role
The position will suit a proactive Project Manager who has a strong attention to detail. Many of the tenants or end users you will deal with are knowledgeable regarding the construction process, and you must befortable interacting with such people with tact and diplomacy. The reputation of the organization is built on long-term repeat business and thus relationships with clients and trade contractors are of paramount importance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this opportunity you should have a relevant technical school education and a solid history (7+ years ideally) ofpetentlypleted small to mid-sizedmercial projects. You must have an honest demeanor,municate clearly and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with your trades and clients.
What you'll get in return
In exchange for yourmitment to getting the job done right you will enjoy an attractive base salary of $120,000-$150,000 mensurate with experience). You will also receive benefits plus the opportunity to earn bonuses and a vehicle allowance + fuel card. Thepany works out of a modern well-appointed office in New Westminster.
