Job description

This Volunteer Placement is Located in: Lima, Peru

Start Date: September 2026

Placement Length: 5 months

Language Requirements: Spanish Level 3-Intermediate

Please submit a Spanish Resume and Statement of Interest

Eligibility: Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only

The Volunteer’s Role

Join us as a volunteer and partner closely with our strategic team to enhance our ability to identify potential members and associates through targeted prospect research and dynamic list building. You'll classify prospects based on key criteria such as sector, size, interests, and location, creating prioritized, well-detailed lists that streamline outreach and follow-up efforts.

Additionally, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems by supporting data management and implementing standardized data-cleaning protocols.

Furthermore, you'll contribute to uncovering exciting new opportunities for the CPCC by gathering valuable market and stakeholder information, assisting in initial mapping exercises, and supporting follow-up activities. Your participation in fairs, events, and institutional conferences will be crucial in driving the discovery and nurturing of these opportunities.

Through its Global Volunteer Cooperation Program, SHARE, Cuso International partners with organizations worldwide to strengthen economic resilience for marginalized groups. In Year 7, targeted volunteer-driven technical assistance will enhance capacities in entrepreneurship, employability, TVET systems, and market-oriented skills across Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The program focuses on expanding inclusive opportunities for women, youth, LGBTQ+, migrants, refugees, and other marginalized communities, while supporting value-chain development, skills transfer, and market access initiatives.

As a volunteer, you will conduct the following activities:

  • Initial CRM Data Review and Diagnostic: Conduct a structured review of the existing CRM database to identify duplicate records, incomplete entries, outdated contacts, and high-risk (invalid) email addresses.
  • Support identification of potential members/associates: Prospect research and list building, initial classification based on defined criteria (sector, size, interest, location, etc.).
  • Support identification of new opportunities for CPCC. Assist with information gathering on market/actors, initial mapping, and support for opportunity follow-up.
  • Data Standardization and Segmentation: Apply consistent formats, naming conventions, and categorization (e.g., sector, stakeholder type, department relevance) to ensure usability across Memberships, Events & PR, and Business Development & Education.
  • Basic Data Management Guidelines and Handover: Develop simple guidelines and provide orientation to the internal team to support ongoing data entry, maintenance, and CRM use.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Marketing, Business and Entrepreneurship, Commerce or a related field

Essential Background:

  • Experience working with CRM systems, databases, or data management tools
  • Experience in data cleaning, validation, and organization
  • Experience using tools such as Microsoft Excel or similar for data analysis and management
  • Experience in market research

What’s in it for YOU? A life-changing experience!
