Commercial Account Executive - Insurance Brokerage

Our Insurance Brokerage client is seeking a Commercial Account Executive , responsible for managing and driving the growth, retention, and satisfaction of key commercial clients.
You will develop and implement strategic initiatives while maintaining strong relationships to ensure the continued success of your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for client growth and retention based on a deep understanding of client goals, industry challenges, and risk factors.
- Assess market conditions and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that highlight services and solutions.
- Streamline processes to enhance the client experience and drive efficiency.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, building strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Act as a subject matter expert in commercial insurance, providing insights into industry trends, risk management, and innovative solutions.
- Partner with internal teams to develop client touchpoints and ensure top-tier service delivery.
- Address client needs proactively and influence product or service improvements.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop cross-selling and upselling strategies within the client portfolio.
Risk Management & Solutions
- Analyze client business operations to identify risk exposure and recommend appropriate insurance products.
- Work closely with underwriters to negotiate favorable terms and conditions on behalf of clients.
- Ensure that insurance solutions are tailored to meet clients’ specific needs.
Market Research
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and changing regulations to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Leverage industry knowledge to develop new strategies and improve client outcomes.
Qualifications :
- Education : Must hold a valid RIBO license; CIP / CAIB designation or equivalent insurance education is an asset.
- Experience : Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance or a similar client-facing role.
- Sales Acumen : Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets and fostering strong client relationships.
- Skills : Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Client-Focused : Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously while delivering exceptional service.
