If so, we have a great opportunity for you. We're currently looking for a Bilingual Administrative Assistant (Claims) who is detail oriented and available to start immediately.
In this role you will work full time hours on a 12 month assignment, earning a pay rate of $23.00 per hour working onsite in our client's Toronto ON office.
The Administrative Assistant (Claims) is responsible for data entry, clerical duties, and responding to requests and enquiries through email and over the phone.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail, email, and fax
- Administrative duties including scanning, filing, and storage
- Enter, review, and verify data from paper or electronic forms into a standard database
- Answer incoming phone calls to assist and direct claimants and representatives in a professional and empathetic manner
- Assist with coordination and logistics of meetings, travel, and expense tracking
- Contacting class members to obtain required information, documentation, or confirmations when necessary
- Communicating with claimants and their representatives through phone, email, fax, and mail
- Preparing notifications to claimants pertaining to claim status, review decisions, and instructions Supporting claimants in a professional manner when they require assistance on topics including claim form access, assessment questions, and accessing mental health and cultural resources
Qualifications
Education / Work Experience
- 1+ year of experience in administrative or clerical support
- Bilingualism (English / French), the ability to speak an Indigenous language (i.e., Cree languages, Inuktitut, Ojibway etc.) considered an asset
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture is an asset
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to use photocopiers, scanners, and printers
- Experience using a VOIP / Internet phone service is desirable
Other Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to accuracy and maintaining high quality deliverables
- Self-motivated, with an ability to work effectively with a minimal amount of supervision
- Works well under pressure with a high attention to detail
- Proficiency in working with data and database
