Job description

Huge is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join the team. The Solutions Engineer possesses a wide range of technical knowledge across multiple systems and solution types with a deep understanding and capabilities across one or more systems.

They can understand a problem quickly, and articulate a recommendation that has an immediate impact on the project. While an Solutions Engineer may have a specialization, they are expected to have a breadth of skills and experience across the whole stack.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise systems, and a proven ability to design and implement solutions that drive business value.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, architect solutions, and ensure successful delivery and integration.

What we'd like to see :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior engineer role or similar position, with a focus on machine learning, artificial intelligence and or data technologies.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++, with proficiency in data and ML / AI frameworks, libraries (pandas, numpy, LangChain, and data analytics tools).
  • Understands the architectural picture at large, ensures compliance and efficiency within that framework, and breaks down the solution to show how the system works and meets requirements.
  • Understands DevOps processes, as well as DevOps tools and practices, while evaluating / recommending new code and DevOps Security tools.
  • Clear understanding of AI techniques such as Agents, RAG, semantic routing and caching.
  • Comfortable working with cloud based AI related services and 3rd party models (e.g., Vertex AI, OpenAI, Vector databases, HuggingFace, Stable Diffusion).
  • Some experience with Neural Network implementations (CNNs, RNNs, GANs, Transformers, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems and their integration with AI solutions.
  • Extensive experience with one or more of cloud platforms : AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and experience with deploying ML / AI solutions in cloud environments, Gen AI is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. AI / ML / Data certifications, cloud certifications) are a plus.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong appreciation for design and user experience and its importance to the final delivered solution.

What you'll be doing :

  • Applies common design patterns and best practices, drives coding standards, leads code reviews, and ensures engineering best practices across multiple projects.
  • Quickly identifies critical capabilities, gaps, and architectural roadblocks, and communicates them to the team while providing alternate approaches.
  • Creates functional proof of concepts (POCs) and works hands-on with AI frameworks and tools to help explore how a potential solution could be realized.
  • Leads implementation of applications utilizing Modern AI technologies such as Generative AI for enterprise use-cases.
  • Implement data pipelines, data preprocessing, and feature engineering processes to support AI model training and inference.
  • Quickly learns new technologies, stays updated with the latest advancements and industry trends, and imparts that information to the team and clients.
  • Communicates with other disciplines, teammates, and stakeholders to resolve issues, clearly presents architectural designs, and owns architectural conversations with counterparts within client, partner, and vendor organizations.
  • Mentors junior engineers, provides thought leadership and expert guidance on technologies, educates clients on best practices and emerging trends, and conducts training sessions, workshops, and presentations to enhance understanding and adoption of technology.
  • Ensures that code is tested properly by self and others, and troubleshoots and resolves technical issues to ensure the reliability and scalability of systems.
  • Focuses on individual systems and problems, leads problem-solving activities, and mitigates issues when needed.
  • Leads work sessions to come up with creative solutions and proactively refactors / iterates over the lifecycle of a project to achieve simplicity.
  • Works towards providing / discovering technical solutions to address identified risks and continuously seeks opportunities to enhance solution performance and client satisfaction.
  • Understands and drives the adoption of security as code across the code base on all projects where they are driving the solution architecture.
