EPI’s core business is Fire Alarm Systems and Emergency Lighting inspections, installations, repairs and responding to 24 / 7 service requests.
ResponsabilitésPosition Overview : Fire Alarm Master Electrician The Fire Alarm Master Electrician is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing and managing the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Providing technical expertise, leadership, and guidance to a team of electricians and ensure the safe and efficient operation of life safety systems. Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and coordinate fire alarm projects
- Install and configure fire alarm systems, including panel, field firing
- Perform system maintenance activities on fire alarm systems to identify and address any issues or malfunction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues : Provide advanced troubleshooting expertise to diagnose and resolve complex problems in fire alarm systems.
Analyze electrical circuits, identify faults, and repair or replace defective components. Conduct system testing to verify proper functionality.
Ensure compliance and regulatory adherence : Stay up-to-date with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards related to fire alarm systems.
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant codes and regulations, maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance : Serve as a subject matter expert on fire alarm systems, electrical components, and related technologies
- Ensure safety and quality standards : Promote and enforce adherence to safety protocols, electrical codes, and industry standards.
- Maintain company’s ESA license QualificationsQualifications and Skills :
- Valid electrical license or certification as a Master Electrician.
- Extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards related to fire alarm systems (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
