Are you an experienced Scheduler with expertise in planning and controlling complex projects within the electrical utilities sector?
We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our Western Canadian team. In this role, you will drive success in high-complexity Transmission & Distribution projects, collaborating with top-tier professionals and stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and develop project schedules by collaborating with Project Managers and Work Package Managers to meet cost and schedule forecasts, adjusting as necessary to ensure accuracy.
- Improve project timelines using expert scheduling techniques, cost estimating skills, and a strong understanding of project management principles to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Create and maintain schedules efficiently using advanced skills in scheduling software, enhancing cost and schedule estimates throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide recommendations to managers by monitoring performance metrics such as cost, schedule, and earned value, enabling necessary adjustments to project schedules
- Create detailed reports on project progress using advanced MS Office skills, and maintain resource-loaded schedules in line with CIMA+’s procedures, translating work packages into detailed network activities and identifying variances for corrective action
Qualifications
- University Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline (or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of scheduling experience (or Diploma of Technology or related field, plus 3 years of scheduling experience)
- Minimum of four (4) years of project costing experience or equivalent
- Advanced skills in scheduling software Primavera P6
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel
- Intermediate skills in computer applications such as SAP and Dynamics
- Proficiency in project management principles, and related systems & applications, with strong analytical and cost estimating skills
- Understanding of construction project life cycles, resource requirements, engineering design principles, and familiarity with generation, station, and transmission facilities
The expected salary for this position is from $65,000 to $90,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
