As the Senior Account Director on the business, you will be the main client contact on the brands assigned, providing these clients with strategic integrated marketing solutions.
With a primary specialty in Mass Advertising, this role also requires you to manage an internal integrated communications team ensuring all client work is flawlessly executed.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage internal team, agency resources and workflow process
- Take an active role in building a positive agency culture
- Liase with North American team as required
- Primary contact with senior clients, providing clients with innovative short and long term strategic marketing guidance
- Fully understand all aspects of the client’s business and the competitive business environment
- Take the lead role in building the clients business, generating new strategies for agency-client partnerships
- Identify and proactively lead new business opportunities for the client
- Ensure that team writes clear effective briefs for creative effectiveness
- Develop effective strategies to motivate creative excellence while maintaining strategic course
- Assist in building and championing integration of the business by leading and facilitating cross-divisional discussion and planning
- Ensure that agency team produces all client work with highest level of quality, on time and on budget
- Provide council to team and client on communication projects
- Ensure that strategies are being met on multiple on-going campaigns
- Overall fiscal responsibility for estimates, budgets and billings
- Responsible for taking the lead role for new hires into the group, building an effective team
- Provide input into staffing plans, budgets and promotions
- Take an active role in developing all direct reports, providing mentorship and conducting on-going performance evaluations
- Assist in new business initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a client service role in an agency
- Branding and retail experience
- Category experience a strong asset
- Ideal applicant would have been involved in multiple integrated campaigns
- Solid understanding of agency and creative process
- Track record of building strong client relationships
- Continually drive for results and highest quality standards
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated fiscal management skills
- Ability to keep composure in high stress situations
- Experienced people manager, demonstrating strong mentoring abilities
- Superior organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated strategic thinker with ability to lead the day to day
- Solid understanding of business and current marketplace
- Ability to design and deliver presentation with a creative flare
- Proficient in MS office
- Post Secondary education in business marketing or advertising preferred
