THE ROLE
We are seeking a forward-thinking Benefits Manager, reporting to the Senior Director of Total Rewards, who will play a vital role in enhancing our organization’s benefits landscape.
In this position, you will be instrumental in developing and designing our benefits programs. By collaborating with HR teams and Business Leaders throughout the organization, you will contribute to the review, development, and implementation of comprehensive benefits initiatives that support our employees' well-being and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage the strategic planning and implementation of a universal benefit plan, ensuring the seamless consolidation of multiple existing benefits offerings
Design and establish a cohesive benefits structure that aligns with VetStrategy’s objectives and meets diverse employee needs
Analyze current benefit offerings and benchmark against industry standards to create competitive, market-aligned benefit options
Develop comprehensive documentation and communication plans to inform stakeholders and employees about benefit plan updates and transitions
Oversee the annual open enrollment and benefits renewal process, including planning, communication, and coordination to ensure efficient participation and timely implementation.
Manage the benefits team, providing guidance and support to effectively administer benefits, handle inquiries, and execute benefits-related projects.
Partner with HR, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth integration and alignment of benefits across the organization
Act as a subject matter expert for leaders and HR, offering informed recommendations on benefits options and the implications of plan changes
Ensure accurate benefits data management, compliance with regulatory requirements, and consistency across systems.
Prepare reports to track employee participation, cost-effectiveness, and satisfaction, providing data-driven insights to guide strategic benefit decisions
Assist employees with benefits questions via Zendesk, providing timely and supportive assistance to ensure a positive employee experience.
Maintain an accurate database for benefits, capturing and reporting all changes in a timely fashion
Adding newly acquired clinics to benefits plan as they come on board

Background, Experience and Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
Experience : 5-7 years of experience in Benefits or Total Rewards
Certification : Possessing or actively working towards the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is considered an asset
