The Decking and Railing Outside Sales Manager (OSM) is responsible for leading a team of outside salespeople to launch and grow profitable sales of Decking, Railing and Outdoor Structures (DR&OS) within their assigned Region.
The OSM provides leadership and support to their team by being present in the field for joint sales calls, relationship building, prospecting, value creation, and training.
The OSM is also responsible for ensuring the profitable sales growth of the DR&OS category in the entire Region including branches that do not have dedicated DR&OS salespeople.
The OSM must be able to work across all levels of the company and region regardless of reporting structure to accomplish strategic goals.
The purpose of this position is to create value added focus, support and leadership that results in profitable sales growth in the DR&OS category.
The nature of this work requires the OSM to spend at least 75% working in the field and branch.
Essential Qualifications :
- Excellent face-to-face sales, training, and presentation skills with both small and large groups
- Driven and results-oriented
- Ability to support sales teams in new product expansion to meet company targets
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Creative problem solver with hands on engagement and solid business acumen
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively motivate and support the sales team
- Effective strategic thinking and tactical execution

Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Sales, Sales Leadership, Sales Training
- Related industry experience preferred
