We are seeking an Intermediate UX Designer to join a government digital services team focused on delivering intuitive, accessible, and user-centered solutions. You will play a key role in shaping digital products by combining research, design thinking, and iterative prototyping to create meaningful user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Design user-friendly, visually engaging interfaces across web and mobile platforms
Apply user-centered design principles and continuously iterate based on user feedback
Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing
Translate insights into:
- User flows
- Journey maps
- Wireframes & prototypes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Developers, Stakeholders)
Facilitate workshops and present design solutions to stakeholders
Identify UX challenges and deliver elegant, scalable solutions
Ensure designs are optimized for accessibility and responsive experiences

Must-Have Qualifications

3+ years of experience in UX/UI Design for web and mobile applications
Strong expertise in user-centered design, mobile-first, and responsive design
Proven experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments
Hands-on experience with Figma (required)
Proficiency in tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Zeplin
Experience creating:
- Wireframes, prototypes, and user journeys
- Research reports and usability testing outputs
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead discussions and present to stakeholders
Experience working with design systems and service design frameworks
Portfolio demonstrating relevant UX work (must be accessible without password)

Technical & Nice-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React, Angular, Node.js)
Experience with Azure DevOps
Knowledge of accessibility standards and testing
Experience in public sector / government projects (preferred)
Understanding of DABL methodology (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live)
Knowledge of network security and protocols (optional)

Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
