About the Client :
Our client, a leading developer based in Vaughan, is seeking a Planning and Development Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company involved in residential developments, contributing to exciting new projects across the region.
Responsibilities :
Take a lead role in administrative tasks, including document preparation, meeting coordination, and filing systems management.
Coordinate, prepare, and assist in submitting development applications, including zoning amendments, site plans, and building permits.
Work closely with external consultants to ensure smooth communication and alignment throughout the development process.
Maintain detailed records of applications, permits, and related documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in tracking and managing progress billing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of invoices and paperwork.
Monitor compliance with planning regulations, zoning bylaws, and other development policies.
Liaise with municipal authorities, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to track project approvals and ensure timely progress.
Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates for stakeholders.
Support project managers by identifying potential regulatory risks or delays and proposing solutions.
Assist in reviewing technical drawings and reports to ensure consistency with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in planning, real estate development, or municipal approvals.
Strong administrative skills with experience in progress billing and financial documentation.
Familiarity with zoning bylaws, Ontario Planning Act, and municipal development processes.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in paperwork management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with consultants and stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
Knowledge of AutoCAD or GIS software is an asset.
