Stan AI is building the next generation of AI-powered software for property managers. We help property management companies automate operations, streamline tenant communications, and make smarter decisions — all powered by AI. We're a fast-moving team of ~25, backed by strong customer traction, and we're scaling fast.
We believe AI should augment great people, not replace them. That philosophy applies to how we build our product and how we run our company.
We're looking for a UI/UX Designer with frontend development skills to shape the user experience of our property management platform. This is a hybrid product design and frontend engineering role — you'll own the design system, collaborate closely with product and engineering, and have hands-on implementation experience with React to bridge the gap between design and code.
You'll work directly with our product and engineering teams to design intuitive interfaces for property managers, tenants, and internal operations teams. You're not just making mockups — you'll also implement components in React, understand how designs perform in production, and iterate based on real user feedback.
Tasks
- Product Design: Lead the UX for new features and product areas. Conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and advocate for user needs in technical discussions.
- Design System: Build and maintain our design system and component library. Ensure consistency across our product while making it easy for engineers to implement your designs.
- React Implementation: Implement designs directly in React for key features and components. You'll work alongside engineers, not just hand off specs.
- Interaction & Animation: Design delightful micro-interactions, animations, and transitions. Implement them when it matters most.
- Accessibility: Champion inclusive design practices. Ensure our product is usable by everyone — a11y is not an afterthought.
- Iteration & Validation: Test designs with users, gather feedback, and iterate quickly. Measure design impact on user behavior and product metrics. Design Tools & Workflows: Manage Figma files, design tokens, documentation, and handoff processes that keep engineering moving fast.
Requirements
Must Have:
- 3+ years of UI/UX design experience (digital product, web, or SaaS)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product design work, user research, and design systems
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, or equivalent)
- JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience (you can build components, understand component patterns, and communicate effectively with engineers)
- Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles
- Experience designing for complex workflows or B2B products
- Excellent communication skills — you'll explain design decisions and collaborate across teams
Strong Assets:
- Experience in property management, operations software, or related B2B SaaS
- Hands-on HTML/CSS skills in addition to React
- Experience building or maintaining a design system
- User research and testing experience (usability testing, interviews, analytics)
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience working with product managers and engineers in an agile environment
- Familiarity with Stan Ai's tech stack (React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS)
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing for AI-powered features or LLM interfaces
- Previous startup or fast-moving environment experience
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- Our product has a consistent, polished feel across all user-facing features
- User research and design iteration has improved key product metrics (task completion, satisfaction, retention)
- You've led the design for at least 2-3 major features from concept to launch
- Engineers ask for your input on technical decisions that impact UX
- You've reduced design-to-code friction by owning implementation of complex components

- Company Macbook.
- Free parking and shuttle service to the office.
- Extra PTO during occasional US holidays.
