Position Description:
This role is responsible for end-to-end management of program-level test environments, ensuring readiness, stability, and alignment across all testing phases. The position works closely with Quality Assurance, Solution Design, and Application teams to support successful System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Program End-to-End (E2E), and Performance Testing.
This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence at the downtown Toronto office and/or client office a minimum of one day per week, subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Accountable for all Program Test Environments, including SIT, UAT, Program E2E, and Performance Testing.
• Collaborate closely with QA and Solution Design teams to understand application architecture, data flows, and system topology for applications in scope.
• Develop and maintain Test Environment Plans for all testing phases.
• Contribute to QA strategy, planning, and execution activities.
• Manage Performance Test Environments to support project requirements.
• Maintain a comprehensive application inventory and manage test environment bookings.
• Coordinate with Application Test Environment Specialists and QA Leads across multiple Lines of Business to secure and manage environments for program initiatives.
• Develop detailed technical and functional shakedown plans.
• Ensure completion of all shakedown activities across applications and Lines of Business prior to releasing environments for test execution.
• Communicate shakedown status and environment readiness to key stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a production code deployment roadmap, including planning for code merges when required.
• Plan, schedule, and track test environment uplifts and changes.
• Lead Test Environment Issue Management, acting as the primary point of contact for all environment-related issues during Program E2E test execution.
• Participate in daily Operations forums and defect triage meetings.
• Maintain a Test Environment Tracker and outage calendar for all applications within program scope.
• Contribute to Quality Management Office (QMO) initiatives, including environment virtualization, identification of bottlenecks, and initiatives to reduce testing time and cost.
• Support the development and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for all applications in scope.
• Continuously optimize test environment management processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Proven experience managing test environments across SIT, UAT, Program End to End (E2E), and Performance Testing
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing lifecycles, and environment dependencies
• Hands-on experience with test environment planning, scheduling, and execution
• Ability to develop and execute technical and functional shakedown plans
• Strong experience in test environment issue management, including triage, root cause analysis, and resolution
• Ability to act as a single point of contact for environment-related issues during test execution
• Experience tracking environment outages, uplifts, and readiness status
• Hands-on experience maintaining environment trackers, calendars, and dashboards
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
