Job description

Are you driven to ensure machinery performs flawlessly and eager to work hands-on with industry-leading tools and technology?

Did you know that you can apprentice as an agriculture equipment technician in this department?

As a Service Technician specializing in turf and commercial construction equipment, you’ll have the opportunity to keep our customers’ essential machinery in prime condition. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will make a real difference, ensuring reliable performance for each piece of equipment. Join a team of talented technicians, where you’ll have the resources and support needed to deliver outstanding service every day.

Keep the Machines Running: Utilize advanced tools and diagnostic technology to repair and maintain a wide range of equipment including handheld products, walk-behind equipment, riding lawn mowers, commercial lawn mowers, gators, compact tractors, loaders, and skid steers.

Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance to prevent downtime and optimize equipment performance, especially when it's needed most.

Tech-Savvy: Use specialized programs to access digital manuals, run diagnostics, and perform precise repairs and upgrades on a variety of equipment brands.

Team Collaboration: Work alongside a skilled, supportive team, sharing knowledge and tackling complex technical issues together.

Continuous Learning: Take advantage of company-sponsored training opportunities to expand your knowledge and stay ahead of the curve.

Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements

Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-based diagnostic tools, electrical systems, engine repair, and inspections.

People-Focused: Team player with a friendly, professional attitude and focus on customer service.

Soft Skills: Attention to detail, fast-paced work ethic, strong time management, ability to work independently, and adaptability.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with long periods of standing and walking.

Valid Driver's License: You'll need this and a clean driver's abstract for work-related travel.

Education and experience are assets!

Potential to move in Ag department with experience and performance.

Benefits

Training and Development: We keep our team current by investing twice as much in training as any other John Deere dealer in Southern Alberta both inside and outside of our dealership. We offer an opportunity for apprenticeship in Heavy Duty Agriculture.

Paid Time Off: Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, we provide you with paid time off beginning at 3 weeks in your first year of employment.

Sponsorship: Take advantage of our sponsorship opportunities to help you hone your skills and accumulate on-the-job hours and experience toward your Apprenticeship.

Benefits: We provide a comprehensive health benefits package to keep you and your family healthy, including life insurance, disability insurance, critical illness, accidental death & dismemberment, extended health, dental, prescription drug coverage, and an employee and family assistance program.

Retirement: Plan for your retirement by participating in our employer-matched Registered Retirement Savings Plan.

Compensation: You'll enjoy a competitive compensation scale, incentive programs, and opportunities for advancement.

Equipment: We supply the equipment and technology needed to excel in your role, including an annual boot and tool allowance.

Join us in revolutionizing the future of agriculture - where your skills have a direct impact on the success of farmers and the sustainability of our industry. We can't wait to welcome you to our team!
