Job descriptionDuration: 12+ Months Contract with possible of extension Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong experience in Capital Markets to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade trading and financial applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and distributed systems, along with a solid understanding of capital markets, trading platforms, securities, and post-trade processing. This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, traders, product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to build scalable, high-performance applications supporting front-office, middle-office, and back-office operations. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications for Capital Markets platforms. - Build scalable Microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand trading workflows and translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Develop low-latency, high-throughput applications supporting real-time trading and market data processing. - Integrate applications with exchanges, market data providers, OMS, EMS, and third-party financial systems. - Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. - Participate in system architecture, code reviews, and technical design discussions. - Implement secure coding standards and ensure compliance with financial industry regulations. - Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. - Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. - 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience. - 3+ years of experience in the Capital Markets or Investment Banking domain. - Strong object-oriented design and software engineering principles. - Experience building high-performance, distributed enterprise applications. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
