HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a System Integration and Test Engineer to ensure robust performance of vehicle-centric systems across Motion, Body, and EE Architecture domains.
In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in electric vehicle development, systems engineering, and hands-on testing to drive end-to-end integration of a complex vehicle platform. You’ll play a key role in investigating system integration issues identified during testing and service operations, helping ensure high reliability across fleet operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with deep experience in vehicle systems, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
As a System Integration and Test Engineer, you'll:- Conduct integration testing at both bench and vehicle levels to evaluate system performance under nominal and off-nominal conditions.
- Analyze test data to identify integration risks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate impact on program timelines and milestones.
- Drive resolution of complex system integration issues identified during vehicle testing and fleet service operations.
- Support the development and commissioning of test benches, instrumentation setups, and data acquisition systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve system behavior, controls, and diagnostic monitoring.
- Create and maintain documentation to track progress using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Travel up to 25% between worksites as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in vehicle system development and testing
- Experience with vehicle electrical architecture and automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
- Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer, ETAS INCA, Intrepid, CSM)
- Hands-on electrical troubleshooting skills (e.g., DMM, oscilloscopes, electrical schematics, logic analyzers)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% between worksites
Bonus Qualifications:- Experience with real-time embedded control systems
- Experience testing in xIL environments (e.g., HIL, SIL)
- Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools (e.g., Grafana)

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
