Job description

The Municipal Group of Companies’ Equipment and Maintenance Team oversees the maintenance, compliance, and operational integrity of one of Eastern Canada’s most diverse equipment fleets. Through a network of more than 25 maintenance shops, our teams deliver standardized service processes, asset management support, and technical expertise across all operating divisions. Our work is executed by qualified trades professionals and supported by formalized training, certification, and career development systems. We are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, based out of Moncton, to join our team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions within heavy duty equipment systems and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace parts and/or components.
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of heavy duty equipment systems.
  • Test repaired systems to ensure performance within manufacturer's specifications.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

  • Interprovincial Red Seal HDET Certificate or Registered Apprentice.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Working safely is a condition of employment.
