Integrated Staffing is currently recruiting for a Shift Supervisor for a full-time opportunity in the retail sector. This position is ideal for a responsible, customer focused individual with previous retail or supervisory experience who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and leading a team during an assigned shift.

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for coordinating store activities on behalf of management, providing excellent customer service, supporting sales and production activities, directing tasks, and ensuring the store operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily store activities during assigned shifts on behalf of management.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer needs.
  • Perform various sales, production, and merchandising duties within the store.
  • Assist management by assigning and directing tasks to staff as required.
  • Open and close the store as assigned and complete required daily reporting.
  • Authorize payments and process merchandise returns in accordance with established procedures.
  • Address and resolve customer, employee, and operational concerns as they arise.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and monitoring new staff.
  • Maintain high standards of sales, merchandising, displays, promotions, and customer service.
  • Help minimize losses and maximize sales and profitability.
  • Ensure the store and work areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with employees, volunteers, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience with cash procedures, pricing, sorting procedures, product displays, and promotions is preferred.
  • Previous retail or supervisory experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • French language skills are considered an asset where required.
  • Demonstrated reliability, trustworthiness, and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with customer, employee, or volunteer concerns.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to delegate tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, cell phones, and other basic technology.
  • Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible and available to work varying shifts.
  • Ability to perform frequent physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and stretching.
  • CSA-approved steel-toed boots are required.

Working Conditions

  • Work takes place in a retail environment, including sales floor, back room sorting, and stock/warehouse areas.
  • May be exposed to dust, fumes, and varying temperatures.
  • Position involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and other physical activities.
  • Work may include repetitive tasks and periods of high activity.
  • Frequent interaction with customers, employees, and volunteers is required.
  • Flexibility in working hours and scheduling is required.
  • Must maintain a safe and healthy work environment and follow all applicable health and safety procedures.

What We Offer

  • $18.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
  • Full-time opportunity
  • Varying shifts:8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Must be flexible and available to work any of the listed shifts
  • Weekly payroll through direct deposit
  • Uniform and safety vest provided by the client
