A heavy structural steel fabrication company in Kitchener has an immediate opening for a full-time Welder-Fitter earning between $28.00 and $34.00 per hour. In this direct hire role, you will read complex drawings and fit heavy structural steel components. This position in Kitchener offers valuable perks including an immediate safety allowance, comprehensive health benefits, direct RRSP matching, and consistent weekly overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Read complex structural steel blueprints involving radii, slopes, angles, and technical drawings.
- Fit heavy structural steel assemblies including round posts onto square base plates.
- Perform MIG and Metal-Core welding on heavy structural steel and aluminum.
- Obtain up to six internal CWB certifications during company-provided training.
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Welder-Fitter in structural steel.
- Hold an active CWB 1G MIG certification at a minimum.
- Demonstrate advanced blueprint reading skills for complex structural steel layouts.
- Execute complex fit-ups independently with minimal supervision.
