Job description

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will act as a critical technical and functional anchor for the Hotel Vendor Replacement Program. You will bring extensive experience supporting technical software implementations across various integrated environments, working in close alignment with internal business units, agile development teams, and external vendor stakeholders. This hands-on role demands robust analytical abilities, a comprehensive understanding of data workflows, and a proven history of translating abstract business needs into highly detailed technical specifications and reporting frameworks.

Advantages
High-Impact Modernization: Take ownership of core operational process workflows that directly impact crew logistics and safety ecosystems.

True End-to-End Delivery: Own the complete analytical scope, spanning from initial current-state discovery to future-state architecture mappings and agile solution execution.

Cross-Functional Visibility: Lead high-level coordination calls and workshops involving business subject matter experts (SMEs), vendor teams, and technical delivery groups.

Structured Timeline: Benefit from a clearly scoped contract running from July 6, 2026, to February 26, 2027, with transparent operational milestones.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Program Manager and Sponsor to define clear project scopes, parameters, and baseline objectives.
Gather, evaluate, and detail complex requirements by interfacing directly with subject matter experts to comprehend current-state challenges.
Support the Project Manager in maintaining active project plans, monitoring timeline progress, mitigating risks, and compiling regular summary reports.
Lead cross-functional alignment calls across business and technology groups to actively clear delivery bottlenecks.
Partner directly with agile development squads to ensure technical designs map cleanly to functional, working software solutions.
Support application upgrades, systems integration testing, performance optimization, and other ad-hoc operational deployment tasks.

Key Deliverables
In absolute collaboration with key business stakeholders and the vendor partner, you will be accountable for completing the following target outcomes:

Map Existing Processes: Document and evaluate all functional workflows under the previous hotel vendor integration model. Map Future Processes: Architect and map optimized workflows under the new hotel vendor system implementation.
Document Process Repository: Establish a structured configuration and process repository to completely reflect the new vendor operating model.
Business Requirements (BRD): Collect, refine, and translate core business requirements into precise technical design parameters.
UAT/Testing Support: Build a documented process foundation to support the Quality Assurance (QA) lead in formulating end-to-end test cases.
Project Execution: Deliver continuous agile support covering system performance profiling, software upgrades, and application testing through to final execution.

Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements

Experience: Minimum of five years of professional experience operating in a dedicated Business Analyst capacity managing technology projects and driving change management initiatives.

Workshop Facilitation: Demonstrated ability to independently lead requirements-gathering workshops with diverse groups, both in-person and via remote collaboration tools.

Requirements Gathering: Superb elicitation skills, with a proven ability to capture intricate workflows from existing sparse documentation and staff interviews.

Technical Software Toolkit: High computer literacy, including advanced operational proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Expectation Management: Proven capability to handle competing business priorities while balancing stakeholder expectations under tight program deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Requirements
Formal professional certifications from the IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) or a CAPM designation.

Previous experience in the airline sector would be considered an asset.

Demonstrated knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, paired with practical experience working in active Scrum or Kanban development environments.

A genuine interest in corporate computer systems and emerging modern technologies.

Core Soft Skills
Out-of-the-box creative problem solver capable of resolving abstract system issues.

Highly proactive self-starter who effectively self-manages daily activities to secure defined team results.

Logistical & Interview InformationLocation & Workspace Strategy

This position requires daily on-site presence at our client's Calgary campus to facilitate immediate collaboration with vendors and business SMEs.
