Senior Project Manager – Digital Health Transformation

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale digital transformation initiative focused on modernizing provincial health services. This role will lead planning, governance, stakeholder coordination, and transition activities across multiple organizations while ensuring operational continuity and alignment with strategic healthcare objectives.
The successful candidate will work with clinical, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders to manage complex dependencies, support organizational readiness, and drive successful delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Establish and manage project governance, status reporting, RAID logs, decision tracking, and escalation processes.
- Coordinate stakeholders across business, clinical, operational, and technical teams.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and service continuity planning.
- Lead stakeholder communications and organizational readiness activities.
- Support procurement, vendor management, contract administration, and deliverable acceptance.
- Develop transition, cutover, and operational handover plans.
- Support executive decision-making through reporting and issue escalation.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, records management, and governance requirements.
- Facilitate successful operational transitions and project closure activities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise projects or programs.
- Demonstrated experience delivering initiatives within the BC healthcare sector.
- Experience leading system decommissioning, technology transitions, or service modernization programs.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IM/IT environments, integrations, operational readiness, and data management.
- Experience with project governance, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience supporting change management and communications activities.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and issue-resolution skills.
- Relevant post-secondary education.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.

- Experience with provincial digital health initiatives.
- Experience working with healthcare privacy, security, and records retention requirements.
- Experience managing multi-organizational delivery models.
- Healthcare application transition or modernization experience.
- Experience managing vendor and procurement activities.
