Adecco is currently hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician for a permanent opportunity with a leading equipment service organization in Fredericton, NB. This role is ideal for a skilled and safety-focused technician with strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance in a fast-paced service environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to manufacturer standards. You will work closely with the Service Supervisor and customers to assess repair needs, provide estimates, and ensure equipment is returned to optimal working condition.
- Salary: $42.00 - $45.71/hour (depending on experience)

- Schedule: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities- Determine the extent of equipment repairs and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs as required
- Order necessary parts and ensure proper documentation of repair requirements
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective components using appropriate tools and procedures
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, greasing, and general equipment servicing
- Meet established repair timelines while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Communicate repair needs, findings, and customer concerns to the Service Supervisor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
- Complete time sheets, job reports, and track time and mileage for repair activities
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of used and warranty parts
- Maintain tools and service vehicles in clean, safe, and working condition
- Provide repair estimates when requested by customers
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development
- Provide after-hours service support when required
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications- Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada
- Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson certification required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Experience with Komatsu equipment is considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced computer and diagnostic tool proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a service-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
