Through craftsmanship, attention to detail, and teamwork, you’ll help ensure every service counter reflects Farm Boy’s commitment to a fresh, welcoming shopping experience. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:

  • Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
  • Welcome, greet, and assist customers using Farm Boy Service Standards while sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm for our products.
  • Prepare and cut meats for our service case, ensuring attractive displays and consistently high product standards.
  • Package, stock, and rotate display counters and shelves so all products are finessed, fresh, and of exceptional quality.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas through general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
  • Follow all corporate policies and procedures with particular focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP compliance, and proper equipment use.
  • Train and mentor Team Members enrolled in the Meat Cutter development program, supporting skill development and operational excellence.
  • Complete designated opening and closing procedures and provide support to fellow Team Members as needed.
  • Assist the leadership team with operational duties, including inventory counts and supply ordering.
  • Take on additional responsibilities on a periodic basis to support overall department operations.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years of related experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to work independently while taking pride in exceptional quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness standards.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining high service and quality standards.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive movement or tasks, frequent use of protective equipment or clothing, and work that is frequently performed in colder environments.
  • Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
