  • Provide guidance and clarification on the application of multiple-employer workplace interactions, specifically for the roles of employer, owner, and prime contractor working relationships in accordance with the WorkSafeBC occupational health & safety regulation/guidelines.
  • Participate in project-related safety meetings in the assigned zones, as required. Participate in quarterly safety meetings and share learnings from contractor performance across the department.
  • Participate in contractor safety summits, events and meetings to further relationship building and contractor engagement opportunities.

What it takes:

  • A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, or related discipline from a recognized accredited program, plus four to seven years of recent, related experience in the occupational health and safety field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Relevant OH&S certification (e.g., CRSP, CRST etc.) or the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to travel frequently for work and a valid B.C. driver’s license.
  • Key soft skills (e.g., result oriented, attention to detail, multi-tasking, adaptive learner, empathy, effective communication, team collaboration).
  • Technology skills (e.g., MS Office, safety software and mobile applications etc.).

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive, and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
